pixel_revolt_logoHope everyone had a great holiday season! Jeff is reluctantly making his way back from Europe as I type this, so we'll be back at full strength this week. To ring in the new year, we've concocted a fiendish community question:

If you could only buy one announced game in 2010, what would it be?

We don't have many answers so far, so drop us a line soon!

How you can respond to the question:

1) Record a sound clip on your computer, upload it to Houndbite.com, and then send us an email at PixelRevoltDL@gmail.com (Preferred)

2) Email your answer to PixelRevoltDL@gmail.com

3) Leave a comment here!

Thanks, everyone!

I stupidly addressed my email to "whoever answers this" without realising "DL" is obviously you. Please forgive my rudeness.

(At work; can't do the Houndbite thing. Sorry folks!)

If I was only allowed to purchase one game for next year, I think it might be Heavy Rain. Kind of a gamble, but if it ends up being as good as it looks that decision could pay off big. At least there won't be anything else like it, right?

I would probably pick Mass Effect 2. Between playing through that multiple times and playing through the first Mass Effect to have a different experience in the squeal I would be set.

Probably Star Trek Online, since I'm hoping to get some long term enjoyment out of that one. I'm a big trekkie, and a game that lets me live in that universe is too good to pass up. I hope it holds up as one of the better MMO's.

Oh I don't believe in hypothetical questions, it's like lying to my brain.

The Last Guardian trailer was one of the best trailers I've ever seen. The movement of that creature was so well done that I immediately felt a connection between me and this virtual being. There are some trailers that get me hyped but they usually don't get me hyped on an emotional level. I think it's safe to say that I will cry during some point in that game.

Seeing as how the only thing that comes to mind is Mass Effect 2, itll be Mass Effect 2 for me.

3D-Dot Game Heroes, without a doubt. You know me... Old-school to the freaking core.

@Erik Wow thank you for reminding me that game exists.

After glancing down this spotty wikipedia release list, I would have to pick Bioshock 2. I have enough of an emotional investment in the series, I suppose, to warrant a same-year purchase. I played the first BioShock only weeks after its release, so I might as well follow up the sequel in a likewise manner. The risk of spoilers lessens the closer one plays a game to release, as well.
