Fuuka Yamagishi from Persona 3

Imagine her looking like a zombie. Just for the sake of this script.

Mysterious girl: H-hello? Who might you be?

Main character: I was sent here by Billy Creel to find you.

Girl: Billy Creel? Oh, you must be talking about Maggie. I'm her friend, Fuuka. She told me that she had lost something in this room, so I offered to help her find it. When I walked in, I heard the door lock behind me. The next thing I know, I saw a big, white flash of light. And then somehow, my skin ended up like this.

Main character: (Two options)

1.      I hate to break it to you, but you've turned into a ghoul now.

Fuuka: Yeah, I probably should have expected that happened. I mean, after a big flash, things like that would probably happen. I don't she'd ever want to see me like this.

2.      ...You know what happens when your skin ends up like this, don't you?

Fuuka: Yeah, that means that I got hit by something, right? Radiation or something. Or perhaps some sort of atomic weapon or something. I guess things could be worse.

Fuuka continues with dialogue...

Fuuka: But you should tell her not to worry. I can take care of myself. Really, I have this.

(shows main character her Evoker gun)

Main character:(two options)

1.      What is that? A handgun?

Fuuka: No, it's something that I use to release something called a persona. I use it to release a persona from inside my head. Um, it's a long story.

2.      Just a puny handgun? Let me give you a better weapon.

Fuuka: No, it's alright. I can protect myself just fine. Um, I don't think you'd want to see how it works. It might scare you.

Main character: Don't worry about explaining it then. As long as you're safe.

Fuuka: Thanks. I want you to give this to her. It's sort of a gift to her. I want to let her know that I'm okay and that I'm always protecting her.

(Hands the main character her headphones)

Fuuka: I like to tinker with technology. It's sort of a hobby that I took up while I was living down here. Thanks for helping me give these to her. I also have a couple other ghoul friends, if you'd like to rest or get your weapons repaired.

[The main character can now return to Billy Creel for a 200 cap reward.]

What are your thoughts on this scenario? Should someone really mix up a JRPG-style character in a Western RPG? More importantly, is it really ethical to turn a nice, shy girl into an ugly zombie?

...Um, just write your thoughts in the comments below.

It's definitely an unconventional mix. I haven't played Persona 3, so I don't know what Fuuka's personality is like, but I would think that she'd be a bit more bothered to have just become a ghoul. She appeared to be totally fine with it (and apparently has made some ghoul friends really quickly.)

Also, maybe I just got a little confused when reading this, but was the big white flash of light you describe part of the events before the beginning of Fallout 3? I'm just curious how this works, timeline-wise? How old was Maggie when the accident happened and how old is she when the main charater accepts the quest?

I'm sure these are all questions you have answers to, but they're not immediately apparent in your script.

Sorry about that. I wanted to finish it before the deadline, so I wasn't quite able to smooth everything out.

Fuuka would be a little disturbed, wouldn't she? I was planning on having it set in the period where she was being bullied by some other girls. Then she gets locked into the high school before it turned into the dungeon of Tartarus. And I was also trying to imply that her friends were also persona users. Persona...ghouls. Whatever.

The big white flash is supposed to be an atomic bomb hitting the school not too long after she was locked in by the bullies. And I guess Maggie is in high school at the time.

I needed a little more time to finish everything up. But maybe the two weren't meant to mix together in the first place. I mean, I personally don't think of the Persona 3 shadow monsters as a bunch of mean, over-radiated ghouls and super mutants.

...Yeah, I'll think of something better next time. It's too hard to connect the two together, because I'd need a lot more context. Lol.
