Video Blips: Fez, BattleBlock Theater intro, SOCOM 4 dancing, and more

You know a game like Fez is special when watching someone else play is still pretty damn fun.

Video Blips:

• In Fez, players don't collect stars or coins -- they collect cubes. That, combined with the level rotating, makes the game symbolically three dimensional. No 3D glasses required. [Polytron Corporation]

Continue after the break to catch the intro to The Behemoth's BattleBlock Theater, a bizarre dance video featuring some of the guys from SOCOM 4: US Navy Seals, and a preview of StarDrone.

• The intro to BattleBlock Theater is a great reminder of what engaging story telling can do for a game. The fact that the narrator can’t remember the name of one of the two main characters is part of what makes it so good. [The Behemoth]

• Why are these goofy SOCOM 4: US Navy Seals guys moving like that? Their lack of rhythm perpetuates the stereotype that video-game characters can't dance.

• What if, somewhere in the galaxy, aliens played a real-life version of StarDrone? I suppose if they did, that would mean that the developers of the PlayStation Move version (coming April 5) know something the rest of us don't. [Joystiq]

That Fez is an echochrome rip-off.
