I avoided this game in the past because I was very annoyed at Wizard of the Coast's pimping of a horrible campaign setting like Eberron. But I signed up and stared a Dwarf Paladin tonight. While I'm certainly not an MMO expert, I see gamers on message boards discussing how DDO handles combat better than many other MMOs. Don't know if this is true -- guess I'm going to find out.

@Jason - Can we expect a write-up of your impressions?

I don't know. I might write about another MMO that I'm going to play in a few weeks. All depends if I can get my old D&D; group to play DDO with me. They're keen on the idea, but this group can be difficult to motivate at times.

And I doubt DDO will allow any of them to polymorph red dragons into Ethel Merman.

@Lance I wonder how many Bitmobbers even remember Ethel Merman? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6XArLsv-4w

@Jason - I think they would know if I started singing:

"There is NO business like SHOW business...."
