I know I said I would put this up on Monday. Obviously I lied, because today is Tuesday.

The first book we’ll be starting off with is Extra Lives: Why Video Games Matter by Tom Bissell. Bissell talks about his own gaming experiences and defends our beloved medium as a valid hobby and art form. I think that this is a good jumping off point for the Book Club.

It’s also a newer release, so it's relatively easy to find. If anyone has an iPhone/Pad/Touch, I recommend downloading the Kindle app and buying the book that way. It’s a portable and cheap option at $9.99. And never forget to check out your local library!

You have one week to hunt down a copy. If it takes you a little longer though, don’t worry about it too much. Next week I’ll put up a schedule that will outline about how much we should all be reading each week. I’ll also be setting up little activities each week that everyone can participate in!
