If the Bitmob Dreamcastiversary week was any indication, Bitmobbers still love Dreamcast games.
Now that Sega has (finally) decided to release ports of their Dreamcast games for download, here are some that I believe any Dreamcast fan would be happy about.
Game: ChuChu Rocket!
ChuChu Rocket! featured online multiplayer, and a simple, addicting premise: guide mice safely to rockets by avoiding prowling felines. Once the set-number of mice was aboard, boom! the rocket took off for...space?
Don't think too much about the premise, just lose yourself in the addiction.
The Port Would Rock Because...
Online multiplayer ChuChu Rocket!...again!
Game: MDK 2
No, MDK didn't stand for Murder Death Kill -- it stood for the three protagonists: Max, Dr. Hawkins, and Kurt.
It was, quite possibly, one of the funniest, quirkiest games I've ever encountered. The gameplay itself was also excellent, combining platforming, shooting, and puzzle solving.
The Port Would Rock Because...
Two things: Bioware developed the game, and black hole grenades.
Game: San Francisco Rush 2049
Huge jumps, shortcuts through buildings, loop-de-loops...yep, it's a Rush game. Before open-world racing games took over the genre, Rush had the attention of racing fans with incredibly diverse tracks that were insane to look at, but a blast to drive on.
Cool cars and subliminal Back To The Future messages also helped make Rush 2049 a blast.
The Port Would Rock Because...
If Sega added online multiplayer, it could be a fun nostalgia trip. Plus you could wave to the Bitmob crew as you flew over their apartments.
Game: Record of Lodoss War
I never played this one, but man did I want to. Hack-and-slash gameplay, a good storyline (from what I hear), and role-playing elements combined into a cool, anime package.
A white-haired old man name Wart? Yes please.
The Port Would Rock Because...
It's supposed to be like Diablo.
Are you still here? Move on, man!
Game: Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage
Swinging around a giant sword hacking everyone to bits never gets old, especially when the main character's name is Guts and he's always winking at everyone. It's like he's saying, "Yep, you're next. Wink."
Intense.
The Port Would Rock Because...
Blood? Check. Guts? Check. Winking? Checkmate.
What did I miss? Be sure and share your choices in the comments!

Holy crap, I forgot about Berserk. That game (and the manga series its based off of) is awesome.
Rez, but I guess they already did that.
I played a bit of Record of Lodoss War. It starts slow and is kind of dated, but has something special about it.
I am 100% interested in MDK 2 now. Did Bioware really make it? Is it going to be in the first batch of games available?
Oh, and I want PSO!!!
Nice work on your non-list, Cosmo!
SEEEEEEEEaman!
@Daniel - Keep it in your pants, you hornball! hehehe
The DC game I want to play the most is Sega-ga-ga, but I'm sure it won't happen since it never got a US release, and would require loads of translation. Since I'll never get that, I'll settle for any and all hard to find shooters (starting with Bangai-O).
I so hope SPAWN comes to the PSN as well ... It is my must get DreamCast game that should come over ..
Shenmue 1 would rock because I could play both Shenmue's on Xbox 360.
Regarding Berserk, if you like anime, Berserk is one of the best. There's also a manga, but I recommend the anime first.
