Sony updates their PlayStation and affiliated services' Terms of Service to reflect the dangers of viewing 3D media. Sony warns that "some people may experience discomfort, such as eye strain, eye fatigue, or nausea, while watching 3D video images or playing stereoscopic 3D games on 3D televisions." What they conveniently don't warn you about is the financial drain that consumers and their wallets experience when upgrading their TV sets.
The first episode of the fan-made sequel to King's Quest, The Silver Lining, is finally available for free. Download it from
the game's
website, where industry luminary Roberta Williams, game designer of the official King's Quest series, praises the work: "The game is very true to the original series...I found it beautiful and fun to play. I, too, like many other fans, would like to see how this story unfolds." To think, it only took the fan-staffed development team eight unpaid years to put this sequel together.
Search engine and advertising giant Google quietly invests $100-$200 million in Farmville/Mafia Wars developer Zynga. Techcrunch reports that Google actually completed the investment a month ago and plans to have Zynga be a central component to their upcoming Google Games service. I feel this means I should takes these social games that people obsess over a little more seriously now...but I still say no.
