Never ending love simulator Love Plus has blurred the line of maintaining relationships with a virtual character in real life. So what happens when that line gets crossed and meshes together? Music done by Zoot Women.
The release of indie JRPG Recettear this Friday will mark an important milestone. But is there a place for niche Japanese indie games in the American marketplace? Capitalism, ho!

July's challenge, Pressing Issue, places its writers in the situation of a freelance reporter covering a subject laid down by editor Michael Rousseau. Under deadline, my task was to interview any staff member of Bitmob of my choosing as a feature profile.
What would the world be without Street Fighter IV? I dare to dream out of my hate for the game!

"I'm in the same boat as Bruno, been away from the Bitmob game for far too long. I want dibs on the mundane school setting."

"I had a bunch of fun participating with this roundtable. Ya know, I've been around tournament-minded players for so long that it was refreshing to speak fighting games with casual fans."

"Starscape sounds like something i may have to consider after this semester, if its addicting as you say.

Most of my indie purchases have mostly been featured on Steam. Recettear and Audiosurf have sucked away the most time from my gamer schedule outside of sadlife visual novels like Ever17 and manly fighting games like Hotoku no Ken."

"When I typically see reviews on Summer Wars, it's really easy to connect this movie to the social networking movement of recent years. Adding the gaming aspect is a point that many mainstream outlets will miss since social integration is not a well-highlighted feature that the general audience understands - except for trophies being shown on FaceBook.

Anyways, I've watched Summer Wars and it's a great movie to spend a night."

"1. Street Fighter II
2. Tetris Attack
3. Ice Climbers
4. Chrono Trigger
5. Capcom vs. SNK2
6. Dance Dance Revolution 4th mix Plus
7. Amplitude
8. ICO
9. Persona 3 FES
10. Melty Blood: Actress Again
11. Team Fortress II
12. Ever 17
13. Pokemon Soul Silver
14. Resident Evil 5 (mostly just mercenary mode)
15. League of Legends

I tried to go in chronological order of games that I played hardcore at certain points of my life. In the end, I should of put more RPGs and music games but they really didn't come up in time."

"I spent the tail end of my summer playin' through a couple dating sims/visual novels.

I've knonw Cho Aniki for quite a while since it built itself quite the reputation that you pointed out. A surprise WTF from Japan that caught me off-guard was when Muscle March came to Wii Ware. Same homoerotic undertones but more embarrassing to play since you're flexing while doing a Wii version of Hole in the Wall."

"When I heard the rumor of the ICO/SotC bundle, I turned into my original PS2 copies for a pretty good chunk of change. I'm sure a lot of people are going to enjoy these well made pieces of art, especially if they're going into them for the first time.

Also, thanks for the namedrop. I'm glad that I've at least persuaded one person to try out Recettear."

"I don't really trust Fat Joe's opinion on Rapstar. Are hip hop karaoke games even successful? I mean is it really worth getting all these licenses and expect to sell enough copies when anyone can just go to their favorite lyrics site and sing along?"

"Kind of an update since Recettear came out today, I'm really getting into the game though I can't really figure out how to control the storyline events. After a while the weekly minimum payments are too big to keep up and I got foreclosed. It really sucks to see such a sad end."

"After following the recommendations I see on the IndieGamesBlog, I've played a lot of the games you mentioned and I can approve that most of them were really fun to me. Some other's that I have sitting in my indie games folder are:

I Wanna be the Guy - Incredibly hard platformer that takes many memorable sprites from classic video games

GENETOS - Awesome shum'up that takes players on a history lesson of all memorable shoot 'em ups.

Merry Gear Solid - Metal Gear parody with a festive twists. The constant puns are charming and gameplay is legitamately good.

A lot of JP indie games like Battle Moon Wars, Melty Blood, Touhou series and soon Recettear."
