Video Blips: Marvel vs. Capcom 3, PlayStation Move w/Kevin Butler, Kinect Sports, and More

It's convenient that a bunch of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 fighters just happened to be on board the same S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier to duke it out. I wonder if they carpooled on the way up.

Video Blips:

• Don't take this Marvel vs. Capcom 3 trailer too seriously. Even though its a free-for-all in the video, the actual game is still 3-on-3 battles. Oh, and I don't think that the helicopter is an actual striker/playable character, either.

Continue after the break for an intrusive PlayStation Move promo with "Sony's VP of Family Funterventions," Kevin Butler, a look at Kinect Sports, hilarious parody commercials for Steve Young Football, and rapper Fat Joe endorsing Def Jam Rapstar.

• Sony's Kevin Butler puts the PlayStation Move through the "ultimate test" by relocating it and himself into the suburban McGuire home for 90 days. Pshh, the real test would be trying to use the Move in a small one-bedroom apartment shared by two families.

• At first, Kinect Sports seems particularly reminiscent of a certain popular sports game for the Wii. Disregarding the extra events, I think what really sets this one apart is the carrot and monster costumes in Party Play mode. I'm serious.

• These Steve Young Football ads that spoof toy commercials from the early 1990s are amazing. You already know what the game is about from the title, so the promos don't have to make sense!

• Fat Joe gives Def Jam Rapstar his seal of approval. Maybe he does it since his songs are in the game, or because it might be in his contract. Most likely scenario: Joe sees this as the first step towards his dream of designing his own fantasy MMORPG.

Wow Fat Joe is still around.

I don't really trust Fat Joe's opinion on Rapstar. Are hip hop karaoke games even successful? I mean is it really worth getting all these licenses and expect to sell enough copies when anyone can just go to their favorite lyrics site and sing along?

Tron Bonne in Marvel vs. Capcom 3....ok. Can we have Mega Man now, please?

@Daryl, Rapstar is pretty fun. It has pitch-matching, and a make your own video mode where you can upload your video to the community site.

@Mike Minotti, wouldn't it be funny to have a bunch of Mega Man characters but no actual Mega Man?

Aw, I would have liked to play as the helicopter in MVC3. I mean, you could probably do that in Mugen, but you know...I dig those propellers.

Fat Joe. LOL. I can just imagine all the videos we'll see on the community site. Talk about money, cash, hos, indeed.
