If you like hearing about Xbox Live Arcade releases from official announcements, boy, do I have a spoiler warning for you.

News Blips:

Plants Vs. Zombies Two foreign rating boards spill beans on possible Xbox Live Arcade ports. GamerBytes reports that German rating board Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle recently passed judgment on Plants vs. Zombies for the Xbox 360, and Siliconera reports that Korea's ratings board lists Dreamcast games Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure in their database with Microsoft as the publisher. Microsoft hasn't announced any of these titles officially. Who cares if these are all games we've played/own already? I'm excited to buy them again.

A University of Wisconsin study concludes that EA Sports Active passes the American College of Sports Medicine's fitness guidelines as an effective workout. Electronic Arts commissioned the study where researchers tested 16 adults doing various workouts on the software and measured things such their heart rates and calorie burned. Exercising vigorously in front of a TV, even as part of a game, constitutes an effective workout -- I would have never guessed (nor would I have guessed that EA would receive an OK on a study they paid for). A U.S. district court rules in favor of the Electronic Software Association in their suit against the Chicago Transit Authority's ordinance to ban video-game advertisements. Back in July 2009, the CTA passed an ordinance to ban ads for Mature-and-Adult-Only-rated games from their vehicles. The ESA filed a lawsuit in response. Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division, said that the ads in question are "expression that has constitutional value and implicates core First Amendment concerns." Electronic Arts ditches the NBA Live name this year with NBA Elite 11. The company plans to reinvent their basketball sim, as reflected in their title switch up. I feel like the name is kind of redundant, though. Since when is someone who plays in the NBA not an elite basketball player?
