I've always felt that there's been a lack of good Star Wars shooters, and I was naturally crestfallen when Star Wars: Battlefront 3 was canceled. Imagine my surprise when I discovered this gem, a total conversion mod for Call of Duty 4, called Galactic Warfare. This is a true Star Wars shooter, and has the advantage of being built on top of Call of Duty 4, a great shooter in its own right. From the trailer, one can recognize many classic Star Wars locations such as Tatooine and Bespin. According to developer Black Monkeys' website, players can choose to play as soldiers from either the Rebel Alliance or the Imperial Forces. Needless to say, this is much better than Spetsnaz and OpFor.

After a long time in development, Galactic Warfare is finally ready for release, and the final version 1.0 is out now. Now excuse me while I go get it as soon as possible.
