1992: Wolf Team, now known as Namco Tales Studio Ltd., releases Aisle Lord on the Sega Mega CD.
June 1
1956: Street Fighter character Zangief is born.
1982: Coleco announces that they're re-entering the console race with the ColecoVision.
June 3
1986: Super Mario Bros. 2, known as Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels in North America, goes on sale in Japan.
June 4
1998: Vigilante 8 hits the shelves.
June 5
1971: Mark Wahlberg is born. He played Max Payne in the film adaptation and might be Nathan Drake in the upcoming Uncharted movie.
1995: Earthbound goes on sale in North America.
June 6
1984: Alexey Pajitnov releases Tetris in the Dorodnicyn Computing Centre where he works, kick-starting one of the biggest battles over production rights in video-game history.
June 7
1982: Seven men made off with over a million dollars worth of Atari cartridges when they knocked over a truck just outside the manufacturing plant in Puerto Rico. They were all brought to justice a year later.
June 11
2001: The original model of the Game Boy Advance goes on sale in North America. The lack of a backlight made some games, like Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, virtually unplayable due to its dim screen.
