The long nightmare is over...probably. Maybe. We hope.

Depending on where you live, the PlayStation Network likely came back online for you sometime this past weekend. So we reached out to our Facebook and Twitter followers to see how they were feeling about the end of the 24-day outage.

Turns out, you guys had a lot to say. We're featuring some of the best responses below. Feel free to add your own in the comments, too. And don't forget to follow our Facebook and Twitter pages for questions, news, contests, and more.

Now that PSN is back up, how do you feel right now?

Via Twitter

@hypnos31: I feel great. My wife and I have really been missing MLB.tv since the network was down.

@Teamugi: Sony didn't do what they needed to on the security side, and this time is just doing work they should have done in the first place. And I'm still pissed because they're idiots and developers and customers were put out because of it.

@ajbooey: I'm glad I have my Xbox Live. That's how I feel about the PSN. They = epic fail and disappointment.

Check out lots more responses after the break.

@lamperIIe: I think this downtime was the nail in the coffin for third-party console exclusivity. Too much risk (ask Zipper how SOCOM is doing).

@aldd22: I'll be happy when I can download off the PSN. So, not happy

@gamin4christ: I'm indifferent to the whole situation. Although PSN is free, most of my friends play on Xbox Live.

@ZookZoltn: Scared. Untrustworthy of the company and the network.

@UnbearableDutch: Still down in Australia, so I'm feeling somewhat impatient.

@KnightAttack09: I'm still sad. I downloaded the update, and I'm getting the error when I try to log in again today.

@bwinfrey: Played Mortal Kombat this morning, and it reminded me why I love gaming. There was controversy, but in the end we just want to have fun together. So while I'm not saying that the downtime was a good thing, I will say that brought back that joy of online gaming I'd forgotten.

@Conniption_Fit: I'm glad I was not about to go and switch platforms over a three-week outage.

@NerdyxTimx: After Hulu was released for the 360, all was good in my world. I don't play any games online on the PS3, so I didn't miss anything.

@Meyeselph: I didn't bother turning on my PS3 the entire time it was down...but it's debatable as to if I'll boot it up now that it's back up. I mean...I have like 3 games for the system. I use it for Netflix and occasionally play something on it, but it's not my first system

@TaroJ: Well, considering I don't play online, I'm not that bothered waiting for the store to come back up

@cheetorlives: Without PSN, I found new ways to amuse myself. I'm currently playing a game of chess. I just mailed my next move to Bob in Anchorage.

@bestfortheGOB: Unable to sync my earned-on-Steam achievements to trophies for Portal 2, though not sure if that's PSN or Valve. Otherwise: Yay co-op!

@LouisGarcia12: Apathetic. I haven't played online with it since Metal Gear Solid 4, and I rarely go on to buy any games. My PS3 is mainly for single-player games

@Romudeth: I just feel relieved that the PSN is finally (if not completely) back up. Hopefully Sony can recover from this.

@Stephano_N: Fantastic. More so if I get the last Borderlands trophy I need to platinum it! (It's the "play with someone w/this trophy" one.)

@fthfulltime: I think that this outage was a perfect opportunity for Sony to show the world their capacity to lead us into the future of gaming!!!

@TheGixman: I'm glad that PSN is getting up and running again. Now i can finally play SOCOM 4 online lol.

@eric_trinidad_: I feel like Charlie Sheen would if he got married to a bag of coke.

@PhilABuster_Z: I'm glad that Sony kept people informed and that this bad situation may turn out for the better as a whole.

@Incisive_D: Indifferent, but at least I can play Portal 2 co-op if I ever have time to do that.

@SnavenShake: PSN? I don't even remember what that is. Is that the thing that let you play games online for PS3? Those were the days.

@ChrisJValdez: Sad that I don't know what the free stuff is yet. I'm hoping it's not stuff similar to Undertow.

@dadeisvenm: Very happy, but being forced to invest in my PC funnels my PS3 buys to PS exclusives only. Makes me hesitant to store my info.

@MyGirlHatesBox: I'm still pissed. I've been waiting on the reset email.

Via Facebook

Michael Rousseau: I'm glad I've been on Xbox Live the whole time. I didn't miss a thing.

Matthew Norman: PSN is still down for me. I'm watching TV with my wife until she falls asleep.

Stephanie Smith: I feel like it is still down.

Titus K. Tsimonjela: I'm really happy!

Ken Wesley Jr.: Now it feels like my console is actually functioning the way it's supposed to. Seems like one of those things you truly don't miss till it's gone.

William J Buffington: Netflix has been down for me the entire time. I'll be glad when it is working again.

Jason Parry: I haven't tried booting it up yet. I usually just go on for the Playstation Store, but that's not up yet so I'll probably just wait some more

Cesar Cajina: Updated...can't wait to play online again.

Jason Lomberg: I rarely use PSN, so it doesn't make a damn bit of difference to me.

Daniel Feit: I'm still waiting for the PSN to restart in my country, as a date has not yet been announced. And by the way, that country is Japan! What gives, Sony? Last I checked you were, like me, based in Japan.

J.R. Shartzer: It just reminds me how young the age of digital distribution still is. This probably could have just as easily have happened to Xbox Live. Everything is hackable. It's one of the downsides of switching from physical media to a system where our payment information is stored on a network like PSN.

Willie Stevens: I'm still waiting for my games to actually let me play, instead of telling me I need to be signed in, while already signed in -.-

Tom Mead: I want my Steam copy of Portal 2.

Isaiah T Taylor: I don't feel antsy to hop back online and spending money. I feel like a lot of my friends logged in to sync their trophies, update their firmware, and to play one game. I'm glad Sony is trying to get it together before E3, but I feel like the only one in the Midwest who thinks how they rolled it out was a bit rushed. Cautiously optimistic.

Joshua R. Cordova: I'd feel better about this if the store were up and running, too.

Marcel Hoang: It reminded me PSN was down because I had been playing Xbox Live.

Aaron Thomas: Didn't miss it a bit!

Dan "Shoe" Hsu: I'm not playing any online PS3 games at the moment, but I am glad to have Hulu Plus and Netflix working fully and properly on the system again. I get nervous having my non-slim Xbox 360 powered on more than it needs to be, so I prefer not to watch movies or television shows on it. Plus, my PS3 is quieter, and I have a remote for it.

Pie Hacquard: Glad Sony's getting it together, disappointed the store isn't up yet, happy I won't be hearing fools complain about having nothing to do for three weeks. (Go outside.)

Louis Garcia: I run Netflix and Hulu Plus all the time on my Halo-edition 360, and I've never had issues with it. It sure is loud though.

Alex Covic: I feel OK right now. Thanks for asking. It's 6 a.m., have to go to work soon. Oh, wait! You mean, how I feel about PSN being back up -- I couldn't care less. Guess why ;-P

I probably shouldn't at this point, but I always find it crazy how much people have complained about not being able to play online. It's never been more apparent than now that single player games or the single player component of a game may not be as important to most people as it is to me. The downtime has only affected me in that I couldn't watch Netflix on my PS3. Otherwise, I was just playing a lot of Fallout: New Vegas.

I hardly noticed. I played Valkyria Chronicles during the entire outage.

And Netflix connected just fine for me, Tristan -- you just had to push through the failed attempts to connect to PSN. After asking to connect and failing, PSN should have given a message stating that the network is down for maintenence. Pressing circle would then take you right into Netflix (usually on the first attempt, but sometimes it would take two or three). My wife and I watched The Other Guys several times!
