I didn't play much of The Darkness, but I did watch about ten minutes of To Kill a Mockingbird before my girlfriend asked if there was actually a game on the disc.
Video Blips:
• Like Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots, The Darkness 2's "quad-wielding" mechanic is exactly what you'd expect. Unlike Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots, quad-wielding lets you toss a guy into the air and then shoot him without switching weapons. It's like the psychotic Doctor Octopus sim I didn't realize I wanted until just now.
Hit the break for another of The Darkness 2's powers, a very informative video from Binary Domain, and a taste of the action in Hitman: Absolution.
• This video shows off another of Jackie Estacado's dark abilities: gun channeling. It's basically a damage boost accompanied by unlimited ammo, but "gun channeling" sounds way cooler than "Super Purple Bullet Fest."
• Learn about Binary Domain's universe and "consequence system" in this informative video. I'm not sure about that narrator. I feel like he's going to warn me of the dangers of drugs or sexual harassment any second.
• Agent 47 returns in this gameplay teaser for Hitman: Absolution. I've always felt bad for security guards in the Hitman series. They probably have the most thankless occupation in video games, next to "Hylian potter."
