I was pretty disappointed with The Sacrifice DLC for Left 4 Dead 2 when I booted it up this past week.
It's already a shame to have to pay for the DLC on the Xbox 360 when the content is free for PC and Mac (thank you, Micro$oft). Heck, Valve may have even been taking a shot at Microsoft's pricing of DLC by offering Left 4 Dead 2 and all of its free DLC on the Steam service for a measly $6.79 a few days ago.
However, it's an even bigger shame to plop down $7 for something that can be beat in about 20 minutes. Now, I know Left 4 Dead is all about replaying levels on different difficulties to enjoy a new experience each time, but The Sacrifice is just shameful.
The campaign contains three maps, but one of them is a carbon copy of one in The Passing.
Also, after drumming up the excitement of seeing (SPOILER) Bill's last stand, we're left with a very lackluster ending. The comic book associated with his demise is much better.
If I were to get this for free on PC, I would be less disappointed. Even then, it's really not a good add-on. It offers nothing new and retreads prior content.
If there's a third game in the series, I'm snapping it up on PC so I don't have to pay for this type of content.
What do you fellow Bitmobbers think about the DLC?
