3 Year Old Is Awesome at Portal and Mirror's Edge

I've been a gamer my entire life, but I wasn't good at it for some time. I certainly couldn't beat a game when I was 3. This 3 year old, however, is rocking games more complicated than anything my little mind could have conceived of in 1989.

I should send this to my  sister. She would not be amused.

That is amazing. I was 3 in 1980 and there is no way I could have done this!

I'm done. If I had a video game back when I was 3 I'm not sure I would have beaten the simple stuff back then in 84.

Seeing this was just a generational backhand to my lifelong gaming skills.

I don't buy this. I think it's b.s.  Far too easy to hook a remote mouse up and play the game while the child thinks they are controlling things. I used to do this sort of thing with kids I'd babysit, let them hold controller #2 and then play the game while they thought they were playing it.

The orientation of the mouse gives it away. He's holding it at such an odd angle, there's no way he would have that precision.

I hope the lesson he takes away from this is that he should smash open any red door he sees.

This is totally going to be Emmy. She was playing audiosurf last night and picked up the concept pretty well. The video is on livestream if you need proof, but she's nowhere near as good as this kid.

I think part of the reason he's so good is repition. He must play these games a lot. You can hear him talk along with the voice overs in Mirror's Edge.
