The Bitmob Featured Community Writer series focuses on you, the Bitmob community member. We dust off a writer's old articles and give them their just reward: more eyeballs. We're featuring some of your favorite contributors, some you may have overlooked, and maybe even you!
Rachel Jagielski is one of our strongest community writers. The numbers don't lie: Over half of her articles have hit the front page, with 15 of her last 21 getting a promotion.
Her greatest strength is her ability to write from a feminine -- and not necessarily feminist -- perspective. In a hobby that is dominated by males, she is able to bring a different view to the table, backed by intelligent and articulate arguments.
This recent Communications Studies graduate actually started posting at Bitmob to rediscover her love for writing. And we're thankful she did.
Front-page posts
Bitterly Confronting Why I Game: "Is that what my life will be, then? Dealing with what's difficult or painful by longing for the all-too-short moments when I engage in something that makes me forget? Can that really be why I spend so much time gaming?"
Two College "Sports" That Deserve Video Games: "A video game based on broomball may not be for everyone, but if it in any way captures the incredible joy that comes from scoring a goal while the other team has fallen on the ice, then it's a game I want to see made."
My Unique MLB: The Show Review Method: "My dad's life is steeped in baseball strategy, history, and players. When MLB: The Show gives dad the opportunity to put all of that knowledge to use, I don't stand a chance."
From the Mobfeed
A LittleBigPlanet Snow Day: "It says a lot about LittleBigPlanet that we were able to keep ourselves busy all day without using the online content (our Internet was slow or down all day). Instead we worked to complete all the multiplayer sections in the story mode and never got bored with it."
Lenten Gaming or Pocahontas is a Really Bad Game: "So what was my reward for 40 (actually Lent is 46 days, Sundays don’t count) days of gaming abstinence? Disney’s Pocahontas: the game."
Gaming Gets a Boost From an Unlikely Source: Boy Scouts of America: "What I love about this reward is that it seems designed to defend itself against inevitable retractors -- that by requiring the Scout to teach others to play a game, it may result in a reluctant person seeing a game's value."

You need to use your real name, and it wouldn't hurt to write a Meet the Mob post about yourself and tag it with "Meet the Mob."
