You know what's awesome? Portal 2. You know what's awesomer? The great articles the Bitmob community wrote about Portal 2 for last month's Bitmob Wants You challenge. Your stories were so great, in fact, that we've already given a bunch of them front-page treatment. Here are a few others that are just begging to be read.
Portal 2: Worst game ever
By Michael Rousseau
Man, Michael really hates Portal 2. Why? Because it's a horrible shooter. Read the rest of his cogent, logical criticisms, and you'll see why he's right. (Editor's note: He's joking. No, seriously.)
Hindsight: Portal 1 and 2
By Corey Williams
Games rarely give you that sense of completion, of fulfillment, that novels do, Corey argues. But Portal and its sequel achieve that feeling for him. "What's not to love," he writes of GLaDOS, "about a robot who has an impeccable sense of comedic timing and uses it to play on your emotions?" Too right, mate.
You are standing in a room: Thoughts from Aperture Laboratories
By Joe Schweigert
Portal's protagonist, Chell, doesn't speak. But she can definitely think. Using second-person perspective, Joe examines what her thoughts and emotional state might be like as she traverses the deadly chambers of Aperture Science. Interesting stuff -- more like this, Joe!
Loading Portals
By Alex Giannavola
Valve is well known for its immersive settings and world building. But Alex points out a flaw that hinders this feeling in Portal 2: loading screens. Lots of them. Longer ones than in the first game. "The fact is," Alex says, "that when we are taken out of the Aperture Science facility for those brief moments, the immersion factor is broken. And that makes all the difference."
