Well due to talk about Fanboyism in today's society I thought it would be cool to talk about it in a way. Now the way I want to talk about it compared to what you think it is maybe different. Continue thinking as we discuss my version of Fanboyism Extreme.
My version of Fanboyism Extreme is more garnered towards the people in gaming. Today it is what have you done to show a developer, publisher or someone in the gaming industry that your a fanboy of there's?
The reason why I am posting is for two reasons. To see what someone else has done and gone to show there fanboyism. The second would be to tell my story on what my wife calls extreme.
Back in April was my birth month. Well I just happened to find out that someone that works for a developer was getting married soon. I requested his address and told him I would send him a wedding gift. Because were not rich I took my birthday money my wife was going to use on a game and saved it.
I then contacted a guy I knew who does great digital art/prints who agreed to do me a solid. For the love of gaming I knew the guy getting married enjoy's Fallout. After making a few requests through some people I got an e-mail with Fallout 1 Concept art signed by Scott Campbell.
After sending this to my guy he told me his pricing. After paying shipping/material cost out of country the guy who works for a Developer has it hanging in his office.
That was the most extreme thing I have ever done. Anyone else have any tales? Also if the staff wants to chime in for things they done or what was done for them that would be cool as well.
