Or
Final Fantasy 4! On the NES?

A couple of months ago, I stumbled across a weird Nintendo Entertainment System demake of the original Resident Evil. While that was an interesting re-imagining of the PS1 classic, this downgraded version of Final Fantasy 4 is nothing but an eye sore [via GameSniped]:

The music is tinny and terrible, the graphics blurred and painful to behold.... Sometimes, piracy yields interesting products, but I think it is high time the Chinese learn to properly bootleg Super Nintendo titles for the benefit of their video game culture.

Is that a crappy, 8-bit cover of the Chrono Trigger theme that I hear?

Wow.  Just...Wow.  Yeah, what's with the Chrono Trigger music?  The Kain sprite for Cecil?  The blue Red Mage sprite for Cid?  The I-don't-know-what-that-is sprite for Kain?  The separate screen for spells?

The music is weird, but the graphics don't seem like too much of a downgrade for me. FFIV was not a great looking SNES game.

That's awful!

What's worse? Oh, I don't know, Titanic? Final Fantasy VII? Chrono Trigger? A friend has written a few posts about it. He writes about many different things, but you can just read the "Pirates" category. ( cinnamonpirate.com/category/blog/pirates/ )

I don't want to sound like I'm just plugging him, but the posts are really very good.

Thanks for pointing stuff like this out, Jasmine!

Google must be leaving China so no one can find this eyesore.

I hear Chrono Trigger!

Man, I love that 8-bit sound.
