ModNation Racers Meets Michigan Football

As many of you know, I'm a huge University of Michigan football fan. So I thought I'd follow up Aaron Thomas' recent post showing some of the more interesting ModNation Racers custom creations (like Jesus, Solid Snake, Mega Man, Borat, Rorschach, etc.) with this awesomeness:

These maize-and-blue designs come to us from PlayStation Network user jj93101 (you can search his name in the mod-download area of ModNation Racers to nab the car and the driver separately). Fellow Wolverine fans should also look him up via his InRichRodWeTrust YouTube channel. He's working on more personal projects, so if you have any suggestions, you can message him via PSN or YouTube.

If you listen really carefully you can actually hear Michigan fans cheering for this right now...... can you hear it?

Understandable why they don't, but I wish the PSP version would have this much customization.

You'll notice there's no equivalent for the University of Georgia. That's because we're busy being enthusiastic about football.

I've got some ointment for that burn, if you need it.

I go to Ohio State University... I wonder if there will be a "Six Years In A Row" car in ModNation Racer anytime soon.

Your move, Shoe.

That is some hot, hot user-generated content right there.

Yo, Hess, don't make us bring up the John Cooper era now...

The Blue will be back.  We're just in the later-Gamecube era right now; everyone was doing one thing (the spread) so they thought they'd try that, too.  Just like Nintendo tried to fight power and polygons with more power and polygons. But in doing so, they forgot what made them great in the first place.  Soon, U-M's Wii will come and trounce the competition.  (It made sense in my head, honest.)

Jon, I award you the Bitmob Medal of Bravery for that analogy. You've earned it!

Not for nothing, I'd read a weekly sports column in which all events are compared to Nintendo.

Ha, thanks Travis.  I'll wear it with pride.  You know, that Sports/Nintendo column ain't a bad idea.....
