The collective fears of Lost fans around the world can be summed up in one word: disappointment. It’s my intent to assuage those fears by way of relativism; that is to say it could be far worse- you could be one of the unlucky few to have played Lost: Via Domus.

Hi. You don’t know me, but I used to write a semi-regular column about things that make gamers laugh. Bored and bereft of any original ideas, I’ve returned to once again place video game titles and dirty words in the same sentence. Come to think of it, you can ignore that subtitle; this is absolutely a comeback.

Field Week: Caption Contest is a contest in which entrants will provide captions to various Field Week themed images. Also, anyone who tells you not to use a term in its own definition is lying to you.
Yakuza 3: A former mob boss cares for an Okinawan orphanage. Hilarity ensues.

Travis McReynolds summons his inner Scrooge to look at the things that make us gamers laugh (and cry) at Christmastime: grandma gifts, presents that aren't games, and -- on those rare occasions -- getting exactly what we want.

Travis McReynolds makes fun of Bayonetta, Mario's misfit villains, Greece, and Tim Tebow.

More hilarious conversation topics for gaming nerds, this time covering Zelda, Star Fox, and Petz.

People only ridiculed gamers for playing games in the 1980s. Now, people ridicule gamers for looking ridiculous while playing games.

Part two to the hilarious How to Make a Gamer Laugh series by Travis McReynolds.

How to be funny to any gamer, anytime you want. Hilarious stuff!

"You should both count yourselves as lucky to have such gamer-inclined significant others. I got my wife to take up Animal Crossing on the Gamecube- but that's it.

Don't get me wrong, she supports my habit, but she'd never play any co-op with me like Evan's GF. That's something pretty special."

"It was at page 4/7 that I realized you had put a ton of thought into this, Andrew. Awesome, funny, and ultimately intriguing stuff.

A couple of notes- I agree that Zombie should be classified as a profession. I've already sent a strongly worded letter to the people at Monster.com to make this happen.

Also, Waluigi is easily the best character in the Mario mythos. His name is a portmanteau. 'Nuff said."

"Only semi-related, but I watched Drop Dead Fred on Netflix a couple of weeks ago. Didn't age well..."

"I take issue w/ the sequel to Ninety-Nine Nights not being titled One-Hundred Eighty-Nine Nights. Don't those guys have a calculator?"

"I'd love to see more 2D entries out there. Lance, I think an 'honorable mention' for Braid, 'Splosion Man, and Shadow Complex would be in order. Still, I get why Jeremy chose the games he did."

"Jon, I award you the Bitmob Medal of Bravery for that analogy. You've earned it!

Not for nothing, I'd read a weekly sports column in which all events are compared to Nintendo."

"Fantastic. I really loved this game, too. The sort of cabinet you track down and order, much to the chagrine of your wife.

Looks like I've got to make a field trip to Michigan. I call Marge- her vacuum has the best reach."

"This was really funny, Chase. Great captions and I really dug the reference to The Office.

I think I need to spend some more time hunting- I went right for the story missions."

"@Daniel- Yakuza does a pretty excellent job with a single neighborhood in Tokyo, but I'd totally play a Rockstar game that opens up more of the city.

Ideally, I'd like to play GTA: Orlando, Florida. Blowing up theme parks would kick the shit out of all other video games ever."

"My first ++ and I had to share it? Beggars can't be choosers, and I suppose I'm in pretty excellent company.

I've submitted LBP songs before, but never from the PSP iteration...

"Have you made this one, Jasmine? It looks pretty tasty...

The T-virus variants with twizzlers look cool, but never turn out the same when made at home. This one looks like a winner."
