The next Kingdom Hearts game might have just gotten a LOT more interesting.
News Blips:
• Oh the humanity of it all!: Megacorporation Disney to acquire Marvel. How this will play out for the Marvel licensed games is not entirely clear at this point, but Disney will examine and reap the benefits of current game development partnerships as contracts expire. Maybe they can get Capcom to make a Marvel Super Heroes vs. Disney game and we can Berserker Barrage the Jonas Brothers. [Joystiq]
• The holidays come early for a few French gamers who got leaked copies of Halo 3: ODST. Something snagged along the distribution chain and about 100 copies of the game are estimated to be have gotten out almost a month before launch. That copy you saw on Craigslist where the seller wants to meet in a sketchy back alley is probably still not legit, though. [CVG]
• David Jaffe needs to STFU. No, really. Tired of being misunderstood, Jaffe is making a pledge to only write/talk about promotional stuff for his upcoming game for the next six months. The first three people to catch him slipping on his blog/twitter get a free copy of the game. If only every game maker had this dilema. [NeoGAF]
• Sensationalism at its best: Former UK Prime Minister's wife and son endorse killing simulators! Rather, they've been named as directors (back in February 2009) of a game company that's linked to Counterstrike which didn't stop Daily Mail from recently making the stretch and guilt of association. This is the same as how through 10 degrees of separation, Bitmob now owns Disney and Marvel! [Kotaku]
