These days, video game music doesn't sound much different than any other kind of music. Once the CD-ROM hit the scene, game composers could create soundtracks on par with film. While I'm a fan of lush orchestral scores, I sometimes miss the bleeps and bloops of old PC audio cards. That's why I love this video on the evolution of the Monkey Island theme over nearly three decades of sound devices. We've come a long way, Guybrush.
