Well setting wise they nailed what I wanted with Uncharted 2. What with the Marco Polo theme, since I was reading his travels back when Uncharted first came out.

So storywise maybe he could be looking for Themiscyra, or maybe the City of the Caesars maybe following the trail of magellan. Or maybe Bjarmaland or Avalon?

Uncharted 2 is probably my favorite game from last year. I'm excited for Uncharted 3, whenever that's coming

I believe the point of the Tenzin character is specifically that you don't understand what he's saying. Tenzin is actually one of my favorite character-building moments in all of video games because Naughty Dog did such an excellent job demonstrating his character using nonverbal communication. The only other game I can think of that's done something similar is Ico. I would also point out that knowing what Tenzin is saying would completely diminish the funny inteactions that the language barrier sets up for Nathan Drake.

I cordially disagree, and I think letting players know what Tenzin is saying would be a huge mistake. Have you ever seen a movie where someone is speaking a language the main character isn't fluent in? Would you ask for subtitles then (especially, as an example, if they had guns pointed at each other, and the language barrier added to the tension of the scene)?

Assassin's Creed 2 is what inspired me to mention the language barrier between Tenzin and Drake. The first time I played AC2 I had the subtitles off. I made it about halfway through when Lucy mentioned that she translated what the Italian the characters were saying throughout the game. My 2nd time through I turned the subtitles on and low and behold I was missing a huge aspect of the game which was the translated language between the characters.

The default in Uncharted 2 is to have the subtitles off. I think "no subtitles" should be the default in Uncharted 3 as well. I also think if you're not able to understand what the people have to say, you should be able to see more than "speaking Tenzianian" in the subtitles.
