Video Blips: Lego: Universe MMO Debut, Metro 2033 Trailer, Matt Hazard Gags, and More

Lego's becoming quite the video game franchise. It's only a matter of time before Lego and arch-nemesis Playmobil settle their differences via a Capcom vs. SNK-style fighting game. Right?

Video Blips:

• Damn, the Lego: Universe MMO looks really fresh, but I do have one concern: What is an appropriate age to allow your kids to begin an MMO addiction? [Joystiq]

Continue after the break for the dark Metro 2033 trailer, a Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond gag reel, and the trailer for a good, old-fashioned car battler named Scrap Metal.

• The trailer for Metro 2033 is moody and grimy. If these guys are right, public transportation is really going to suck in a few years. [GameTrailers]

• Matt Hazard is here to remind us that, despite tough economic times, it's always important to have a sense of humor. These (allegedly) washed-up video game characters, however, need to work on their jokes. [GameTrailers]

• XBLA indie Scrap Metal gives players the option to trick out their cars to maximize the destructive potential. Why's it always gotta be about guns, though? Why not a handsome set of white wall tires, extra-vulcanized? [Joystiq]

After all the hours spent playing Legos, I never expected a Lego Apocalypse, where the forces of Lego Good and Evil face off for the fate of all Legoland.
@Spencer, you need to step your Lego-imagination game up.
