The most notable thing about this ad is how honest it is. Typically, Atari 2600 advertising downplayed the action of the game because the developer knew it wasn't the most astounding thing in the world. Here, Activision wanted you to see the gorgeous backdrop and understand that your helicopter really does shoot lasers.
