If you've ever wanted to know how to make eggnog from scratch, this Yoshi-themed concoction is certainly an interesting way to learn. Of course you can just get premade nog and spike it yourself before Yoshifying it, but where's the fun in that? [via The Drunken Moogle]

Ingredients:
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/3 cup sugar, and a tablespoon
- 1 pint whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 ounces bourbon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- Green food coloring
- Marshmallow cream
Directions:
In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the egg yolks until they lighten in color. Gradually add the 1/3 cup sugar and continue to beat until it is completely dissolved. Add the milk, cream, bourbon and nutmeg and stir to combine.
Place the egg whites in the bowl of a stand mixer and beat to soft peaks. With the mixer still running gradually add the 1 tablespoon of sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
Mix marshmallow cream with green food coloring until cream is vibrant green. Use a spoon or gloved finger to smear the green marshmallow on the inside of your eggnog glass like spots. Make sure not to use too much marshmallow when applying or the eggnog will quickly turn green as well.
Pour the eggnog into the spotted glass to see the Yoshi’s egg effect.
