Crysis 2's gorgeous visuals are a mainstay of the franchise, but I have a sneaking suspicion that hardcore shooter gamers will implement some...essential modifications.
Video Blips:
• Bitmob's knack for making a Crysis 2 developer uncomfortable is quite potent, but the same can't be said for our multiplayer shooter skills. At least our bump-mapped corpses gracefully skidded across the lavishly rendered asphalt streets of New York City.
Continue after the break for footage from Bulletstorm's just-released demo, a dramatic Japanese reenactment of a typical battle in The Last Story, and enough gratuitous giblets to satisfy any meat lover in Lord of Arcana.
• Ex-soldier Grayson Hunt has an axe to grind against his former superior in Bulletstorm. At least Hunt's predilection towards swearing like a sailor and booting people in the ass is a good tension reliever.
• One of The Last Story's curious items is demonstrated by a company of Japanese interpretive dancers. It's just show business, but that fan looks like it smarts nonetheless. [GameTrailers]
• Lord of Arcana's fearsome monsters explode into gory chunks upon defeat. This could cause complications with the whole "proof for bounty" deal.
