Video Blips: Super Meat Boy, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright, Costume Quest Gameplay, and More

Video production crew Area 5 keeps it old school with a bizarre, in-your-face attitude reminiscent of the early 1990s to promote Super Meat Boy.

Video Blips:

• A good way to save money is to only buy meat when it's on sale. Conveniently, Super Meat Boy is going for $10 (marked down from $15) until November. Remember: If it smells OK, it's probably safe to eat.

Continue after the break for the debut trailer of Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright, some sweet Costume Quest gameplay, and a promo for Tron Evolution.

• Perhaps Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright isn't the Capcom "Vs." game fans were expecting, but I'm still excited. However, I think the name should say "meets" instead of "vs." I definitely see some intertitle teamwork in the trailer.

• As evident in this Costume Quest video, having a goblin kidnap your little sister while trick-or-treating sucks. I would say it's worse than getting pennies from the old lady in the corner house on Halloween night. [GameTrailers]

• This Tron Evolution TV spot doesn't need to hint at the story to sell the game with all the intense action on display. How could you not want to run around with a neon frisbee and ride a light motorcycle after watching this?

Oh man, it IS happening... All I saw before this video was a vague Layton/Wright pointing image that could have easily been photoshopped, and the idea seemed too ridiculously sensical to be true... Glad to see I was mistaken!  I'm actually kinda stoked about this...

That Meatboy video is very classic retro weirdness!

@Bryan Glynn, you have good taste in games.

@Bryan Harper, I hadn't heard of Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright until today, so imagine my surprise.
