Hey! Ho! Let's Go (Play Nintendo): 8-bit Rock n' Roll

It's always been a dream of mine to hear Johnny Ramone or Joe Strummer's crunchy downstrokes through the cutesy blips and bloops of my NES' five sound channels. Ever since my 6-year stint in punk rock, not once have I experienced that three-chord heaven actualized; 8-bit band Anamanaguchi does a good job bringin' the house down, though. This is my take on pop punk filtered through 8-bit ears.

Without further ado, here's the first track I wrote and recorded for my new music project Heart of a Panda:

Ha. Those drums are perfectly Ramone-like. This is awesome.

Also, maybe you've heard of it but www.8bitpeoples.com is a good place to go for chiptunes.

You're missing the "four"! Very cool stuff. So when are you going to convert "Blitzkrieg Bop"?

Yeah, I love 8bitpeoples. Really talented musicians on there. Thought I'd hit up my fav gaming sites and see what the primarily gaming crowd thinks before letting the elite chiptune kids rip my track apart haha.

Also, Rob, right now I don't play covers. My track "I'm a Loser" is an original, but it's definitely in the style of the Ramones.

Oh, yeah, I gathered as much. I'm just dying to hear the Rocket to Russia album in this format now.
