What's exciting about the NGP is that, from what I've seen of it, it will be the first gaming platform to really combine touch screen and proper button gaming at the same time. Yes, the Nintendo DS handhelds do it too, but having two screens, and being stylus focused makes it feel like a baby step in that direction, where as the NGP really feels like it can live in this area between iPhone and DS.
