Demon's World is also known as Horror Story. It's a 1989 arcade game that sends knockoff Ghostbusters on a journey to rid the world of mythical creatures and Jason Voorhees look-alikes.

As you progress through the stages, you collect power-ups that turn your imitation proton pack into numerous bullet-hell-shooter cannons. That's highly advanced technology, but I don't think Egon Spengler would approve of egregiously splitting and crossing the streams....

Interestingly enough, the board this game is built on has a special switch that allows you to change between the Japanese and English versions, complete with different regional publishing crawls.
