These are my first Video Blips, and I'm pleased to feature a developer diary to one of my favorite racing franchises. It’s been a long time since SSX Tricky, so here’s hoping SSX: Deadly Descents will be worth the wait!
Video Blips:
• SSX: Deadly Descents is the perfect title for people like me. I’ve never snowboarded in my life, so it’s safe to assume that I’m terrible at it. Plus, my fat ass would probably cause an avalanche.
Continue after the break for the backstory of Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat, a look at the upcoming Patapon 3, and some gearhead gunplay in Death Rally.
• The characters of Mortal Kombat all have such dark and tormented pasts. Although, I will admit that forcing someone to rip his own head off does seem to have its perks.
• Patapon 3 will feature a new breed of warrior, known as the “Uberhero.” Imagine Mel Gibson from the movie Braveheart, but a little less anti-Semitic and a little more adorable.
• I’ve had some trouble seeing the iPhone and iPad as legitimate gaming devices, but remakes like Death Rally prove otherwise. If only it were legal to strap a minigun onto my Subaru, then 5:00 traffic would be a thing of the past. For me, anyway.
