I have to confess to being a pretty big Sega fanboy in my youth, so I kind of hated the Playstation for awhile. Luckily, I grew up.

News Blips:

PlayStation celebrates its 15th anniversary. I always knew that the Dreamcast was released on September 9, but I had no idea that console shared a birthday with Sony's inaugural gaming machine. They'll be celebrating the occasion with some downloadable goodies and discounts, including themes for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable. You can also buy an original PlayStation in Home. It doesn't actually do anything, but it should look pretty.

Need for Speed: World just got freer. It used to be free players could only get up to level 10 -- out of a total 50. Well, no more. All of the game's content will now be available to all players. How much longer until World of Warcraft is the only online game charging a subscription fee? [Kotaku]

Oblivion may soon be obliterating theaters. Please ignore that terrible pun. I'm trying, I swear. Anyway, ZeniMax -- the parent company of The Elder Scrolls developer Bethesda -- recently filed a trademark for a film based on The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. I haven't seen many fantasy movies not named Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings do well, but best of luck to them. [1UP]

Chinatown Wars look better in HD. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars HD was released for the iPad today for a measly $10. Not a bad price for one of the best reviewed portable games ever. [Joystiq]

I heard the good NFS news as well http://noobfeed.com/news_infos/view/556

I've been playing all damn day. It's been a while since I logged 10 or so gamehours in one day. Also, I enjoy it actually runs on my PC (barely, but still good show).
