News Blips: New World of WarCraft Expansion, New Diablo 3 Class, Multiple Discs For 360 FF13, and More

OK, sure the news of a new World of WarCraft expansion is pretty exciting. But we're still waiting to hear about the next update for The Matrix Online. What? They shut that game down? Duuuuude!

â€¢ Better buy some deodorant: World of WarCraft: Cataclysm announced. Blizzard announced today at BlizzCon that the third WoW expansion will arrive sometime next year and will include two new races, a higher level cap, and other fun stuff that only really makes sense if you play the game. And if you do, you're probably at Blizzcon right now drowning in your own drool, so we don't even know why we're wasting our time... [1UP]

â€¢ Non-singing Monks added to Diablo 3. In other BlizzCon news, Monks are joining Barbarians, Witch Doctors, and Wizards as official character classes for Diablo 3. Halo fans will not be pleased with their lack of an annoying chant attack. [Shacknews]

â€¢ Final Fantasy 13 too fat to fit on one 360 disc. Due to the bloated nature of Final Fantasy 13, the upcoming Square Enix role-playing game will likely take up about three DVDs. No wonder the PS3 slimmed down. [Kotaku]

Nah, they're dropping the Public Option in lieu of a "co-op". Not sure how that's gonna solve any of the inherent health care flaws, but that's a discussion for another website.

On a side (story-related) note, head over to the Blizzard WoW General forums for some laughs. It appears for every person on the forums that thinks the new expansion looks faboo, there's at least 67 people who have already drawn decisive conclusions from the 5-minute teaser video pointing to Cataclysm being the end of the World. Of Warcraft.

Pretty awesome.

@Bryan - That's just sad - The US is the only country in the Western World that does not have universal health care.... yes, its a discussion for another site....but its peoples health!!!?? I cannot even watch the film Sicko for there is nothing sadder than people going bankrupt due to the cost of keeping themselves alive..... Even the Mushroom Kingdom has free health care...

Mister Moore's documentaries have a bad reputation, but Sicko was definitely an interesting watch. I'm enrolling in dual-citizenship with the Mushroom Kingdom. When I find it.
