Bitmob Big 10

The results are in for Bitmob's first full calendar year in operation, and we are very impressed. This site was designed to give a new platform upon which the ordinary gamer can find his or her voice. They did just that -- and the world listened.

Today, we present the first half of our 20 most-read community stories. If you missed these articles the first time around, you may be in the minority -- they all got a huge amount of hits!

Special congrats to Juan Letona, who had three articles ranked between #11 and #20, making him the only contributor to show up more than once on the top 20.

Don't forget to check on Thursday for the second half of our list!

20. The full roster of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 (or my best guess, that is) -- Chase Koeneke

19. You're holding the controller wrong.... -- Nick Berger

18. Top five black video-game characters that deserve their own game! -- Juan Letona

17. Five things video games need to stop doing -- Siri Karri

16. Dressing down Heavy Rain's Madison Paige -- Rachel Jagielski

Hit the jump for #15 through #11.

15. Why I never want to play Mass Effect 2 again -- Jeff Parsons

14. Top five ways to kill the fun of gaming -- Jeff Grubb
(Please note: Jeff was not Bitmob staff at the time of this submission.)

13. Five amazing real-time strategy games while you wait for Starcraft 2 reviews -- by Juan Letona

12. Christie vs. zombies -- Christie Thomas

11. Which video-game characters face deportation under Arizona's new immigration law -- Juan Letona

Come back on Thursday for the top 10 most-read community stories!

Holy crap! I have no idea how my MvC article made the list. It wasn't promoted to the front page, no one participated and I was generally pretty wrong on my guesses, but for some reason, people kept clicking.

Thanks to everyone at Bitmob and congrats to all the others who made the list. I hope next year is just as good.

Congrats to everyone who made the list.

I know this is nitpicky, but you really should be saying "number of hits" instead of "amount of hits" -- the hit count(s) is(are) well-defined and (obviously) countable.
